Mouth Guards

A mouth guard especially designed by the dentist to custom-fit your mouth and can help significantly reduce the risk of dental injuries that are commonly caused during sport and leisure activities. Custom-fitted mouth guards provide the best possible protection as they are properly fitted to the shape of your teeth and ensure comfort and good shock absorption. Mouth guards are great protection for your jaw, loss of teeth and against concussions.

 The standard varieties of mouth guards don’t fit as accurately as custom fitted mouth guards and can be uncomfortable to wear and make it difficult to breathe and speak. 

The procedure involves an accurate assessment of your mouth in order for the dentist to recommend the best type of mouth guard appropriate for you and your specific sport. The dentist then takes an impression of your teeth to create a plaster model. The model is used to create the best fit, size, coverage and thickness in a mouth guard especially for you.
